Claims College

ATTIRE

What is the attire for the conference?

The attire is casual (jeans are encouraged). You may want to dress in layers as some rooms can be cool.

CE/CLE

How are CE/CLE credits issued?

CLM will report your CE/CLE credits (where applicable). Please make sure all your licenses are entered in your CLM profile. If you have further questions regarding CE/CLE, please contact our Education Compliance Specialist.

I’m taking Year 2 in my preferred school this year. I plan to take advantage of the afternoon refresher courses to help me be fully prepared for the final exam so I can earn my CCP. What will this mean for the CE/CLE that I earn?

The refresher courses will allow you to qualify for more CE/CLE than simply attending the morning sessions offering the more advanced content. So, if you are interested in maximizing the amount of continuing education credit earned, this is the way to go.

EVENT CHANGES / CANCELLATIONS

If I am unable to attend Claims College, will a refund be issued?

All Claims College registration changes, cancellations, or substitutions must be received in writing via e-mail to eventhelp@theclm.org

Please include the reason for your change, cancellation or substitution. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER August 1, 2025; however, substitutions are permitted until August 29, 2025.

Are all students required to attend Insurance Industry Primer?

All Year One CCP students are required to attend this mandatory primer. You won't regret it, the content is unmatched in the industry and the pace moves right along.

I am interested in OR already started the School of Property previously, but I can’t seem to register for it this year. What’s up?

In order to better meet the changing needs of our property claims community members, the School of Property is under construction in 2025 and will not be offered for any level until 2026. If you have any questions about this, reach out to us HERE.

It looks like the School of Construction requires that I complete three levels but other schools are different. Is this accurate?

Correct. The Deans for the School of Construction have elected to continue with a three-level curriculum. This school is also the only one offering an option to test out of the first level. Learn more about this option HERE.

One of my colleagues earned their CCP designation a few years ago and tested out of the first year of programming. I want to take this short-cut myself, but I don’t see it offered on the website. Where can I get details?

As of 2025, the only school offering the option to test out of the first level of programming is School of Construction since it continues to work off a three-level curriculum. You can learn more about accessing the test out for this school HERE. All other students will begin their Claims College journey with Year 1.

I’m confused! Previously I completed Level 2 of a Claims College school. What do I register for now? I want to earn my CCP designation.

We hear you and we’re pleased that you are so motivated and ready to earn your CCP. In an effort to accelerate the learning process so students can complete the curriculum in two years going forward, we find ourselves in a year of transition. To earn your CCP this year, please enroll in Year Two of your preferred School. We will present completely new and elevated content during the morning sessions while on campus. For the afternoon sessions, you have two options:

  1. Retake courses that you’ve already experienced, garnering new or updated content in these refresher sessions. This may prove helpful when taking the final exam, required to earn the CCP designation.
  2. Select from several Power Skills courses in the afternoon sessions, including (full list coming soon):
    1. Navigating Relationships for Success
    2. Presentation Skills for Claims Professionals
    3. Principles of Management
