* Interpret policies, draft reservation of rights letters, and develop sound coverage positions in high-exposure and nuanced professional lines claims.* Determine when expert involvement is needed, evaluate qualifications, manage potential conflicts, and maximize their impact on claim outcomes.
* Understand and apply alternative litigation approaches such as arbitration, phased trials, and bifurcation, tailored to professional liability disputes.
* Manage expectations and communication among insurers, insureds, brokers, and counsel to maintain alignment and drive claim resolution.
* Recognize the importance of broker engagement and cross-functional collaboration with underwriting, actuarial, and marketing teams in complex claims.
* Analyze issues like allocation, related claims, prior knowledge, and emerging exclusions across D&O, EPLI, fiduciary, E&O, and cyber policies.
